Thought we would give you a sneaky peak into what is happening behind the scenes at Alcott Weddings, as preparations for this years season are in full swing….
Our couples are getting their visionary groove on designing the layout, mapping out where everything will be placed to create the perfect space for their outdoor wedding.
With the structure of their choice being either a traditional or capri marquee, rustic tipi, quirky yurt, their centre stage is now set and ready to add their individual finishing touches.
One lovely couple have decided to hold their ceremony in the beautiful yurt with a walkway leading to the festival themed tipi where the days celebrations will continue. They will be making dual use of the yurt in the evening as a relaxing chill out area.
Many of our couples have the ceremony outside by the lake, with the stunning scenery as the back drop and straw bales for seating giving that charming rustic feel.
Dressing and making the decorations will often be a group effort leading up to the special day. Where family and friends all lend an artistic hand to create the integral centre pieces, bunting and favours.
One of our grooms is currently hard at work constructing a bespoke arch for his wedding ceremony. This seems to be running theme as a groom and his best man made a magnificent arch which became the talking point of one of the weddings last year.
The cuisine is often a significant part of the day and our couples have been busy handpicking from hog roasts to street food vendors, canapés, ice cream tricycles, tapas or the traditional sit down three courses, to name but a few. All guaranteed to be totally scrumptious.
Some couples who have chosen to camp or glamp have booked the caterers to pop back in the morning to serve their breakfast which puts them in good stead for the first day of married life.
We are thrilled to be seeing a funky Cocktail Bar in a VW Campervan and a Prosecco Bar Trailer this year…..they are going to look fabulous.
There are lots of bookings for outdoor games such as Giant Jenga, Skittles, Human Table Football, Mini Golf, Bucking Bronco and for the more sporty Badminton and Volleyball. They are always so much fun and a great way for families to bond and come together.
The music is paramount in getting the party started and guests up dancing. We love to be introduced to new talent at Alcott and it is great when we get to preview the entertainment, whether it be a friends band or the DJ-ing uncle, all are welcome.
Our team are busy mowing the field and getting the site ready for Our First Wedding of the Year!
We can’t wait for the season to begin……..
